Under Attack: Minimum Viable Hospital Foundations

When ransomware takes down a health system's infrastructure, the immediate question isn't how to recover everything — it's how to keep patients safe with whatever is still functional. The Minimum Viable Hospital is the answer to that question: a deliberate, tested definition of the clinical capabilities, workflows, and applications a health system must protect and restore first in order to deliver safe care. In this session, Heather Costa from Mayo Clinic shares how they approached defining and building their MVH including what the process looked like, where the hard conversations happened, and what they found when they stress-tested their assumptions.
